From 24^th  to 25^th June 2010 at Hai Quan hotel, 27C Dien Bien Phu, Hai Phong, the Annual Meeting of the Vietnam Civil Society Partnership Platform on AIDS (VCSPA) had been held.

There were around 200 representatives participating in the meeting from community-based organizations, clubs and networks across 30 provinces, members of Steering Committee and guests from several organizations working on AIDS prevention in Vietnam such as the Vietnam Administration on AIDS Control, UNAIDS, Family Health International Vietnam, Health Policies Initiatives Vietnam,  etc.

The meeting was the time for the members to review and look back at its activities in the past year, as well as an opportunity for the members to meet and discuss.

The Meeting consisted of 3 plenary sessions and 6 satellite sessions, discussing topics of relevant to the members’ interests such as Sexual and reproductive health for PLHIV, Training on Drug Overdose prevention and Relief, Sharing on project management experience, Resource mobilization experience, Community mobilization experience, Policy advocacy, Experience on collaboration between non-governmental organizations and community-based organizations, Training on increasing the participation of PLHIV, Training on discussion facilitation.

Besides, another activity which had attracted a lot of anticipation was the gala night conducted jointly by VCSPA community-based organization members.

In this year’s Annual Meeting, VCSPA  had reviewed and approved its plan for the next year. The Steering Committee had had a direct consultation with all members, approving the adjustment of the Convention as well as electing additional new members of the Steering Committee.
