A meaningful activity for children in the Breaking the Cycle project in Hai Phong
A meaningful activity for children in the Breaking the Cycle project in Hai Phong

On the morning of July 26, in a cozy and joyful space, the extracurricular event Chắp Cánh Ước Mơ came to life with laughter, excitement, and heartfelt sharing. Over 30 children, along with their parents and grandparents, joined representatives from tesa Site, SCDI, and a group of dedicated volunteers for a special day of creativity, connection, and inspiration.

The most touching part of the event was the dream card-making activity. Through life skills sessions held in June and July 2025, SCDI and volunteers encouraged the children to name and express their dreams—whether simple or ambitious. What mattered wasn’t what they wrote, but the fact that they were truly listened to. Each dream was respected, not judged or dismissed. They were brought to life by hand, with colors, clay figures, and sparkling charms—like little treasures full of hope.

Chắp Cánh Ước Mơ was not only a space for children to play and create, but also a meaningful bridge between families, sponsors, volunteers, and partner organizations. Parents quietly watched their children express their wishes. Volunteers stood by, offering encouragement and support with each word and drawing. Representatives from tesa Site Hai Phong and SCDI shared heartfelt messages about the importance of investing in children—the future of our communities—especially those in the Breaking the Cycle project.

After the creative session, the children received thoughtful, nutritious gifts from the sponsor. These small gifts were not only practical support, but also a recognition of the kids’ courage and efforts to open up and share their dreams.

From warm handholds and beaming smiles, to the emotional glances of parents and the joy of the kids as they completed their cards—each moment added up to a morning full of meaning and inspiration. Chắp Cánh Ước Mơ wasn’t just a one-off activity, but a promise: that SCDI, tesa Site, and the wider community will continue to listen, support, and create opportunities for children to grow up healthy, confident, and full of hope.

“Every dream deserves to be heard and supported” is more than just a slogan—it’s a shared commitment guiding SCDI and tesa Site Hai Phong in building nurturing, emotional spaces for the children in the Breaking the Cycle project.

Our heartfelt thanks go to tesa Site Hai Phong for being such a wonderful companion on this journey for children; to the passionate volunteers always by the kids’ side; to the parents who put their trust in the program; and especially to the children themselves—the beautiful “authors of dreams” who made that morning so special. We look forward to more moments like this, where we can continue creating meaningful experiences together for them.
