Active TB screening model needs to be replicated
Community-based TB screening is an activity organized by the Centre for Supporting Community Development Initiatives in 10 provinces and cities. Proactively detect TB cases in vulnerable and hard-to-access TB treatment services. Building a TB community system called the Community System to End TB (CSET) to detect cases and support treatment adherence are activity implemented by SCDI for many years. More than 66,000 people from high-risk groups have been screened, resulting in more than 600 active TB cases and nearly 1,200 latent TB infections. Through the CSET, 85% of TB patients detected through screening have been put on treatment, contributing to the goal of ending TB by 2030.
