On May 12, 2017, at SCDI Southern Office (223 Le Niem, Phu Thanh, Tan Phu, Ho Chi Minh City), a discussion on transferring the project "Family Development Assistance" - Project 360 between Center for Supporting Community Development Initiatives (SCDI) and E&D, in the presence of Dr. Khuat Thi Hai Oanh – SCDI Director, Ms. Do Bich Phuong - Representative of E&D organization in Vietnam, E&D and SCDI staff in the South.
 
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the plan for implementing the project to support the group of women victims of violence. In the context that E&D is implementing the process of transferring the model of supporting family development with the method of "family companion" for agencies and organizations operating in the field of social work and community development in HCMC In Ho Chi Minh City, SCDI was chosen by E & D to carry out a project supporting a group of women victims of violence between May 2017 and April 2020.

Representatives of the two organizations discussed the plan to implement the project to support the group of women victims of violence as well as agreeing on the output indicators of the project. The cooperation between E&D and SCDI will be implemented for three years from May 2017 to April 2020 in Ho Chi Minh city (HCMC).

The main activities of the project focus on the sharing of family companion methods and tools, with SCDI staff and volunteers and CBO groups. Since then, the family companion approach in supporting and handling cases with women who are victim of violence. In addition, the project also conducts training sessions on domestic violence for CBOs, local authorities and people to raise awareness about violence, establish a network of different sectors, to provide multi-dimensional support to abused women.
Through the project, the working groups for the advancement of women in HCMC will be established to continue supporting activities for women.

At the end of the meeting, the two organizations agreed on a cooperation plan, as well as assigning relevant staff to make connection in the project, with the expectation of continuing to cooperate to carry out relevant projects in the future.
