In August, with support from a donor, the “Breaking the Cycle” program delivered 600 kilograms of rice to families of children in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, aiming to improve daily meals and ensure proper nutrition for the children.
The rice was divided into 60 bags and distributed directly to 60 families in the program. This support provided households with enough rice for nearly a month, easing the burden of daily living costs. As a result, parents were able to use their savings to purchase other foods such as meat and vegetables, ensuring more nutritious and balanced meals for their children.

Beyond providing full meals, this activity also contributes to a longer-term goal: helping children maintain good health, have the energy to attend school, and remain engaged in their education. With the continued support of the community, practical assistance like this offers motivation for families and children in the program to stay resilient on their journey toward a brighter future.
As the new school year approaches, SCDI values every opportunity to collaborate for the future of children. For more information, please contact Ms. Trang Nguyen, Program Manager, via email: trangnguyen@scdi.org.vn
