Christmas’ Eve – while everybody were celebrating with their friends, the volunteers of SCDI’s Children Program chose to spend this moment in a very special way.

This was one of the several fund raising activities to support disadvantaged children, in the last few days SCDI’s Children Program volunteers had been working very hard to sell goodies as a mean of fund raising at Diamond Plaza, Ho Chi Minh city. As new year drew nearer, everybody was busy yet our volunteers were committed to spend their time helping the program.

Selling goodies were no simple task, sometimes the volunteers would spend hours without being able to sell anything... That’s when they had to encourage each other and kept thinking that by doing this, they would be able to help many more children in need.

"Going out selling goodies like this makes me realize how lucky I am for having a stable job and being able to spend time with my friends”, a volunteer shared.

The money raised today might not be big, what’s important was that we had spent Christmas in a very special way – not with lights, colorful presents or fancy outfits but with hard work and most importantly big smiles TOGETHER.
