From 18 - 21 November, SCDI participated in the Union World Conference on Lung Health, one of the most important global gatherings bringing together scientists, health experts, civil society organizations, and partners committed to ending TB.
This year, SCDI presented two community-driven models that have been making a measurable difference: Community System to End TB (CSET) - a model built on the strength of community members who actively reach those at highest risk, support screening, and accompany patients through treatment adherence; and DRIVE-TB – Community-based research in Hai Phong, an initiative focused on early detection and timely linkage to care for people who often fall outside the reach of traditional health systems.
Both models share one core mission: to reach those most vulnerable, least visible, and often left behind in the fight against TB.

Attending the conference was not only an opportunity to share our work, but also a moment to learn from global partners, researchers, clinicians, and peer organizations who are working tirelessly toward a world free of TB.
These exchanges reaffirm our belief that ending TB is only possible when every person, regardless of who they are or where they live, has equitable access to care, support, and dignity.
