“Flow of Hope” Community Day with children from the Breaking the Cycle Project in Hanoi

On July 27th, the Breaking the Cycle project organized a community event titled Dòng chảy Hy vọng (Flow of Hope) in collaboration with local partners in Hong Ha Ward (Chuong Duong, Hanoi). The event was designed to create a meaningful space for connection, sharing, and learning—bringing together children from the project and members of the local community.

The program welcomed 45 trainees and staff from KOTO, a vocational training organization for disadvantaged youth. The children received thoughtful gifts, enjoyed meals prepared by KOTO trainees themselves, and listened to stories of resilience and transformation shared by the youth in training.

A highlight of the day was the story shared by Nguyen Huy Hoang—a former participant of the project who was introduced to vocational training through KOTO. From uncertain beginnings, Hoang has shown remarkable growth, and his journey has become a source of encouragement for younger children. His story, true to the name Flow of Hope, served as a reminder of the lasting impact of SCDI’s long-term efforts, supported by the community every step of the way.

SCDI would like to extend our sincere thanks to KOTO and the Hong Ha Ward authorities for their support and dedication in bringing motivation, trust, and hope to children in the project. Events like this lay the foundation for communities to become strong pillars, helping children take confident steps toward building their future.
