SCDI joins partners in driving One Health collaboration in Vietnam

On April 24, 2026, in Hanoi, SCDI participated in the signing ceremony of the One Health Partnership Framework for the 2026-2030 period. The event was co-chaired by representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the Ministry of Health, and the United Nations, bringing together delegates from 57 partner organizations.

The new framework builds on achievements from 2021-2025, reflecting a growing and more connected network committed to the One Health approach. Partners agreed on key priorities, including strengthening integrated systems, improving zoonotic disease surveillance, addressing antimicrobial resistance, ensuring food safety, and embedding environmental and climate considerations into public health efforts.

The event highlighted a shared understanding that health challenges are interconnected and cross-border. Therefore, coordinated, multi-sector action is essential to respond effectively and sustainably.

This partnership will be a great opportunity for us to learn from partner organizations, while also creating the space for us to share our lessons from our community-based work to help promote One Health initiative in Viet Nam.

We appreciate the continued collaboration from partners across sectors and look forward to contributing to a healthier future for all.
