SCDI presents to readers the outstanding news of September 2025.
Delivering 44 wheelchairs to people with disabilities in difficult circumstances
In September, SCDI received 44 wheelchairs to deliver to people with disabilities in difficult circumstances connected throughout our project sites. The wheelchairs were quickly handed to recipients in Ho Chi Minh City and transported to northern and central provinces, where they have now been delivered directly to those most in need.

FrieslandCampina Vietnam (FCV) once again partnered with SCDI to bring 215 cartons of nutritious milk, worth more than 905 million VND, to vulnerable communities in Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, and Nghe An. Community-based TB screening for early detection
Through CSET members, SCDI continued community-based TB screening under the Global Fund project in six provinces. The activities focused on reaching people directly, raising awareness, and connecting them with health services.
Initial results recorded 1,746 people reached, 266 counseled and referred, and 59 tested, leading to the timely detection of 2 tuberculosis patients. These outcomes reflect the effectiveness of collaboration between the CSET network and local health partners in advancing early detection and timely treatment. SCDI will continue expanding this effort, contributing to Vietnam’s national strategy to end tuberculosis.
